How do I deal with stigma?
There’s a lot of stigma around being a drug user, especially an intravenous(IV) drug user. You’ve probably already experienced this at least a few times, if not on a regular basis.
For example, as a pregnant woman you may have been made to feel ashamed or judged for using drugs while pregnant.
You might also experience some of these negative attitudes when trying substitution treatment from family, friends, the public, or even professionals who are suppose to help you.
