Activity: The best future self
Close your eyes for a few moments and imagine or think about your life in the future.
In this future, you have everything you ever wanted or dreamed: your best future self. Think about your “Wheel of Life” and imagine having reached your desired goals in each aspect of your life.
What does your life look like? Where are you? What are you doing? Who are you with? What are some of the values and strengths that you have?
Draw a picture or write about what you imagined and what you were feeling in that moment.
NOTE: It is easy to focus on how your current life might not match these goals, or to think about barriers that are currently preventing you from reaching this life. Instead, allow yourself to be creative and imaginative in thinking about what your best future self might look like.

Try to see or think about what some of the barriers or obstacles are that may stop you from reaching your best future self.
Are these obstacles easy to overcome? What will you need to do to overcome them? What are some steps you can take to overcome these obstacles?
