Playing games can be a fun and effective way to maintain your brain’s thinking and attention abilities!

Memory, the card game:

The goal of this game is to match like cards together in as few turns as possible. This game can be played in groups (3 or 4 would work well) or alone.

  1. shuffle the cards
  2. Lay them in rows, face down
  3. Turn over any two cards

***only two cards can be face up at a time

  1. If the two cards match, pick them up and place them to the side (if playing against someone/others, these matches determine your score)
  2. If they don’t match, turn them back over
  3. Remember what was on each card and where it was
  4. Watch and remember during the other player’s turn or if playing alone, overturn another two cards and repeat from step 4
  5. The game is over when all the cards have been matched
  6. If playing in a group: the player with the most matches wins
  7. If playing alone: try to time yourself, when you are able to complete the matches in shorter and shorter periods of time you are improving!
