Substitution Treatment
Substitution treatments can help with drug use, reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, and minimize risk of overdose These treatments are safe alternatives to using opioids such as street fentanyl.
Hydromorphone
Hydromorphone is another opioid that can be used in place of fentanyl. It is often sold under the brand name “Dilaudid”.
Suboxone
Suboxone is a form of medication that contains both buprenorphine and naloxone.
MMT (methadone maintenance treatment)
