What if the pain is too much?
Withdrawal is a brutal process, and you may feel as though you are at your lowest point. Sometimes this leads to desperation and needing your fix at any cost. This also means you might consider doing risky and unsafe things to make the pain go away.
If you are not ready to recover from your addiction, consider steps to avoid experiencing withdrawal. Make sure you use harm reduction supplies and work with a medical professional or a support network to have a safety plan.
If you want to learn more about harm reduction methods, please check out the Naloxone and the Safer Injection modules.
