Creative vs. logical thinking
It is important to use both logical thinking and creative thinking when coming up with solutions:
- Creative thinking helps us to think of several different solutions to our problem.
- Logical thinking helps us to think about the advantages and disadvantages of each solution
When coming up with solutions, it can be useful to think about what advice you would give a friend if they were going through the same problem.
Or, take a moment to imagine yourself succeeding at solving this problem now try to think backwards of what needs to be done to solve the problem.
