Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why should I get vaccinated?
Vaccines are currently the most effective way of reducing the risk of infection to COVID-19 and the severity of the illness. It is recommended that you get vaccinated right away. The vaccine is free and everyone ages 12+ can register for their vaccine in BC. Visit this link for how to register and what to expect for your first appointment: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/covid-19/vaccine/register
There are five COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada:
- Pfizer – BioNTech
- Moderna
- AstraZeneca & COVISHIELD
- Johnson & Johnson (Janssen)
You can receive your first dose or second dose by visiting your local health clinic. Visit this website to find a vaccination center in BC: https://immunizebc.ca/finder#8/49.246/-123.116
After receiving both doses of your vaccine, you can start taking part in more social activities that you did before the pandemic.
