The SMART plan

To make the best action plan, follow the SMART strategy. You can learn more about SMART goals by visiting goal setting!

  • Specific: Identify what key thing(s) you need to do
  • Measurable: Decide how you will tell if you have succeeded
  • Achievable: Identify any particularly difficult tasks and decide now how you’ll tackle them
  • Relevant: Check that the solution will address the original problem
  • Time-bound: Set a start date and a finish date

Now based on your answers on the following questions and what it means to have a SMART plan, write your detailed plan – step-by-step.

  • Make sure to break your plan into each small steps you need to complete it
