When a friend, family member, or loved one dies from an overdose, you may feel overwhelming sadness, anger, guilt, or numbness. Grief is a very personal experience and there is no right or wrong way to feel. During the overdose crisis, many people have lost not only one, but multiple friends to overdose.
Needless to say, dealing with the death of a friend/loved one is definitely not easy. This is why seeking help and support is very important.
If you have lost someone close to you from an opioid overdose, there are different resources available to support you.
